Jun 06, 2014 · Dears , Any one knows what is the difference between S275JR and S75JR+AR in steel , in terms of abbreviation i know that S275 in EN10025 reflects the properties of steel , AR refers to the " AS rolled " condition , material strength / properties wise does it make any difference ? EN 10025-2 S275JR high strength structural steel plate S275JR is a low carbon, high tensile strength structural steel which can be readily welded to other weldable steel. With its low carbon equivalent, it possesses good cold-forming properties. The plate is produced by fully killed steel process and supplied in normalized or controlled rolling condition. S275JR Is mild steel ASTM A36 equivalent to S275JR carbon steel Mechanical properties of mild steel ASTM A36 and S275JR carbon steel:Both yield strength and tensile strength of S275JR carbon steel is higher than that of mild steel ASTM A36. So S275JR carbon steel can bear heavier load than mild steel ASTM A36. In other word, mild steel ASTM A36 is not equivalent to S275JR carbon steel.
